In my most recent book post, I discuss one of the most renowned books relating to mental illness. The protagonist is a thinly-veiled version of the author, and soon after the book's publication, the author committed suicide at age 30. . Though the actual plot is random, the languishing thoughts running through the protagonist's mind provide a glimpse into the headspace of a person with clinical anxiety or depression. Here, I react to some of those thoughts and to the perspective of a mentally ill person. . Post available on my site under the category "Classic Works." ✌️ #mentalillness #thebelljar #bookworm

I seem to have a lot more books than I do time to read, so I appreciate nights like these when I can spend hours with my nose between pages. The book on the left is my new favorite because it's one of the most exciting and hilariously witty Victorian novels I've ever read. I just started the book on the right, and it's been extremely enlightening so far. 🤓 #victorianera #christianbooks
How many of you have witnessed this scenario: you're in conversation with a couple or a parent-child pair, and one of them says something, and the other one turns and snaps on them? Do you feel an instant pang of awkward pity for both of them? Yet, sadly and stupidly enough, most of us have been guilty of treating our loved ones with that same lack of grace and patience. It's tragic to me that so many people live in homes that feel like war zones because they are constantly attacking their loved one or being attacked. We have the power to set the tone of the environment we live in. Read more on my blog roll. ✌️👍 #wordpressblogger #patienceiskey #thegraceofjesus
